Totally frustrated too — device timeouts is frustrating. What worked for me was using a dedicated 2.4GHz network.
SystemAdmin: Just got this working! I just needed to using the correct node type. Seems obvious now.

Quick note: the migration tool changed in version 2024.6. Consider Zigbee2MQTT instead.
